The equipment and materials that are required to run research and routine applications across the life sciences. These range from cell culture to molecular analysis encompassing older technologies such as x-ray diffraction with newer items such as gene sequencing. Techniques which move from research into routine are of particular interest – for example mass spectrometry for the analysis of microorganisms.
